Dermaplane facial in Surrey
Natural results, no pressure.
Dermaplaning uses a sterile surgical blade, held at a precise angle, to gently shave the outermost layer of dead skin cells and the fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) on the face. The result is immediately smoother, brighter skin that holds makeup beautifully and absorbs serums more effectively. It's a no-downtime treatment ideal before a wedding, photoshoot or event, but also a brilliant standalone monthly facial for anyone who wants brighter skin without acids or needles. The hair grows back exactly the same. It does not grow back thicker, despite the myth.

Dermaplane facial · common questions
Will my facial hair grow back thicker?
No. This is the most common myth. Dermaplaning removes vellus hair (peach fuzz) at the surface. It doesn't change the hair follicle. Hair grows back at the same rate and the same texture.
Does dermaplaning hurt?
Not at all. It feels like a soft, controlled scraping. Most clients find it relaxing rather than uncomfortable.
Is it safe if I have acne?
Active inflammatory acne (cystic spots, broken skin) is best avoided. We'd work around those areas or postpone. Comedonal acne or post-acne dullness responds well.
How often should I have dermaplaning?
Monthly is the ideal cadence. It matches the natural skin cell turnover cycle. Some clients pair it with a peel or microneedling course for compounding results.
Can I have dermaplaning before a wedding?
Yes. Many clients book it 2 to 3 days before a wedding for the instant glow effect. We'd avoid the day-of in case of minor pinkness, but 48 hours before is ideal.
Will dermaplaning help my makeup apply better?
Yes. This is one of the main reasons clients book it. Foundation sits more evenly, powders don't catch on vellus hair, and skin looks more luminous in photos.
